All of Umbria an exhibition: 130 works celebrate Umbrian art in Perugia
The National Gallery of Umbria in Perugia is hosting an exhibition called 'All of Umbria', which brings together about 130 works to highlight the rich artistic heritage of the region, from the Middle Ages to the Renaissance. Under the supervision of Cristina Galassi and Marco Pierini, the exhibition includes works by famous artists such as Pintoricchio, Perugino and Gentile da Fabriano, as well as lesser-known ones like Alunno and Matteo da Gualdo. On the occasion of the Gallery's centenary, the event is inspired by the 'Exhibition of Ancient Umbrian Art' of 1907. With an installation curated by Daria Ripa di Meana and Bruno Salvatici, the intense blue enhances the gold backgrounds. The region has provided loans from museums and private collections, after a campaign of restorations.
