Turin Doubles for Paris, Rome and San Francisco as Film Production Booms in Piedmont
Last week, Via Roma in Turin was converted into a street reminiscent of Paris for the filming of Un weekend da bamboccioni, featuring Adam Sandler. The city has emerged as a favored filming destination, hosting 213 productions in 2025, a significant rise from 125 in 2015, attributed to reduced expenses and support from Film Commission Torino Piemonte (FCTP). Notable projects filmed in the area include Luca Guadagnino's Artificial, shot in Turin and Ivrea, along with scenes from Fast & Furious 10 and The King's Man. Established in 2000, FCTP has boosted economic returns from 15.6 million euros in 2016 to an estimated 62 million last year while also linking productions to local talent and providing training initiatives.
