Aaron Sorkin's 'The Social: Il prezzo della verità' Opens in Italian Cinemas October 8, 2026
Aaron Sorkin's film 'The Social: Il prezzo della verità' is set to hit Italian theaters on 8 October 2026. This movie is inspired by 'The Facebook Files,' a series reported by Jeff Horwitz in The Wall Street Journal, centering on Facebook whistleblower Frances Haugen (played by Mikey Madison) and journalist Jeff Horwitz (portrayed by Jeremy Allen White) as she discloses the company's hidden truths. Mark Zuckerberg is depicted by Jeremy Strong, illustrating his transformation from 2010 to 2020. Production designer Jon Hutman meticulously recreated settings such as Facebook's headquarters, the newsroom of the Wall Street Journal, and the U.S. Capitol. The narrative transitions from Facebook's ascent to its repercussions, examining the impact of its algorithms on public sentiment and the spread of misinformation.
