23 Sculture di Palloni da Calcio Installate a New York e New Jersey in Art of the Game
L'organizzazione no-profit ARTS 14C di Jersey City ha lanciato l'iniziativa Art of the Game, presentando 23 sculture di palloni da calcio di grandi dimensioni in tutta New York City e New Jersey. Ogni scultura, di dimensioni paragonabili a un'auto compatta, è realizzata con 12 pannelli pentagonali e 20 esagonali in composito di alluminio montati su una struttura in acciaio. Sono state create presso Powerhouse Arts a Gowanus, Brooklyn, e assemblate presso Mana Contemporary a Jersey City. Tra le sedi partecipanti figurano il Museum of Modern Art e il Metropolitan Museum of Art. Questo progetto è dedicato alla compianta Agnes Gund. Gli artisti coinvolti includono Ronny Quevedo, Bony Ramirez e Hank Willis Thomas, tra gli altri. Due opere di Bernhardt e Thomas saranno messe all'asta da Christie's dopo il Labor Day.
