Zyva Studio Turns Founder's 60 sqm Paris Apartment into Neo-Ornament Manifesto

architecture-design · 2026-09-23

Zyva Studio, located in Paris, has transformed the 60 sqm residence of founder Anthony Authié into a showroom named Zyva Home. This design challenges Adolf Loos's assertion that 'ornament is a crime,' suggesting instead that ornamentation can spark creativity. The space features towering spiky flowers, large chains in vibrant red, blue, and yellow, and a clay bed with a metal headboard that reveals ventilation ducts. A coffee table crafted by Mosaic Factory showcases a terrazzo top paired with a Mario Bros.-themed base. The terrazzo flooring, granite table, and kitchen worktop all share a continuous aggregate design. Additional decor includes printed hides, a cowhide rug, Dalmatian-patterned curtains, and perforated doors. Collaborators include Tiptoe and Noah Living, with photography by Robin Le Febvre.

  • Project partners are Tiptoe, Noah Living, Tediber, La Serviette Paris, Vooma, and Main Audio; photographer is Robin Le Febvre.
