Znamy się Designs Napar Café Around Coffee's Journey from Cherry to Cup

Polish studio Znamy się has completed the interior of Napar, a specialty café and roastery in a 73-square-meter townhouse in Toruń, Poland. The design translates the coffee production process into spatial form: curved volumes echo the coffee cherry, gentler curves reference the dried bean, and wavy detailing mirrors cracks formed during roasting. Translucent screens evoke coffee filters, while zigzagging details recall Japanese pour-over dippers. The space is divided into two zones: an open bar area with a curved counter that shortens the distance between guest and barista, and a more intimate section with hanging glass-droplet light fixtures symbolizing water passing through a filter. Original wooden window and door frames were extended into new display cases and central volumes. Key materials include wood, glass, metal, stone, and steel framing. The project follows Znamy się's earlier work for the brand, the Auga optical store in Wrocław, which similarly translated a product's physical process into spatial form. The café opened in 2026.
