exhibition · 2026-06-10

The Zero 10 section of Art Basel, which focuses on computational art, makes its inaugural appearance at Messeplatz in Basel, following its expansion from Miami Beach and Hong Kong. This edition features twenty exhibitors, indicating a transition from experimental to more established forms of art. Noah Horowitz, the global director, highlights the emergence of a new wave of collectors. For 2026, Eli Scheinman and Trevor Paglen will co-direct a segment named The Condition, which will highlight seventy years of computational art practices. Notable artists include Vera Molnár, born in 1924, presenting When Algorithms Draw: The Vision of Vera Molnár (2026). Additionally, the Kunstmuseum Basel will host a related exhibition on Vera Molnár, while HEK will spotlight net art from the 1990s. Other featured artists are Hito Steyerl, Andreas Gursky, Avery Singer, and Aziza Kadyri, all contributing to the historical context of digital art.
