Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky met CIA Director John Ratcliffe at Shannon Airport in Ireland, according to two people familiar with the matter who spoke on condition of anonymity. One source placed the encounter on Monday; the other described the two men speaking informally while their aircraft were being refuelled, without giving a date. Neither source would discuss what was said. The stopover occurred as Zelensky travelled to New York for the annual gathering of world leaders at the United Nations, while Ratcliffe was returning from a meeting with Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah el-Sisi, according to one of the sources.
