Yoon Hyup's Urban Rhythms: From Seoul to Global Recognition

Yoon Hyup, born in Seoul in 1982 and now living in New York City, has developed a distinct artistic style filled with lines and dots that reflect the energy of urban life. A self-taught artist, he started his journey in street culture and skateboarding during the early 2000s, working on murals, live painting, and studio projects. His art captures the essence of movement, sound, and atmosphere, portraying cityscapes and lively night scenes. Hyup's work spans painting, sculpture, and installation, maintaining a cohesive vision. He has showcased solo exhibitions in cities like Paris, Hong Kong, and Tokyo, and participates in major art fairs like Art Basel Hong Kong. His art is included in collections at the Lotte Museum of Art and OAR Contemporary Art Museum, and he has collaborated with brands such as Dior and Nike. Additionally, he created a six-meter interactive sculpture at Shanghai Times Square, blending modern urban culture with traditional Korean themes.
