Yinka Ilori and Dunelm Launch Colorful, Accessible Furniture Collection

Yinka Ilori MBE, a British-Nigerian artist and designer, has teamed up with Dunelm, the largest homeware retailer in the UK, to unveil a new collection of 40 furniture and homeware items set to launch on 8 July 2026. This collection, which will be available online and in select stores, includes furniture, bedding, lighting, rugs, and soft furnishings, with prices ranging from £9 for a cotton jacquard hand towel to £799 for a king-size boucle ottoman bed. Ilori's distinctive use of vibrant colors and geometric designs is inspired by his recent exhibition 'Joy Through Resistance' in London and his collaboration with Veuve Clicquot during Milan Design Week. The collection also reflects the diverse communities that influenced Leicester's textile sector, showcasing floral motifs from India and Pakistan. Notable items include the 'Sweet Flows' swivel chair (£299), 'Bell LED' lamp (£65), 'Net Floral' duvet cover set (from £16), 'Gerbera' cushion (£26), 'Kaleidoscope' floral round rug (from £135), and 'Half-Log' sideboard (£599). Ilori expressed a personal connection to Dunelm's beginnings as a market stall in Leicester, highlighting their shared commitment to community and accessibility, asserting that quality design should be accessible to everyone.
