Yabu Pushelberg's Lanai bed for Poliform transforms sleeping into multifunctional experience

Yabu Pushelberg, the design studio, has unveiled 'Lanai', a fresh bed concept for the Italian brand Poliform, which is set to debut at Salone del Mobile in 2026. This innovative design features modular parts that reflect a natural landscape, providing not just a place to sleep but also comfortable seating and handy storage. George Yabu and Glenn Pushelberg created this bed to be the centerpiece of contemporary bedrooms, which often serve as home offices and private cinemas. Drawing inspiration from historical figures like Mark Twain and Winston Churchill, the design blends organic shapes with the straight lines of a dark wooden headboard and frame. This marks the first collaboration between Yabu Pushelberg and Poliform. In addition, during Milan Design Week 2026, Poliform will present 'Multitude', an installation at their new Palazzo Clerici location, designed to evoke a hidden garden.
