Yabu Pushelberg and Louis Poulsen Launch Reframe Pendant, Exclusive to DWR
Yabu Pushelberg has collaborated with Louis Poulsen to introduce the Reframe pendant, which reimagines Poul Henningsen’s technique of layered shades for light diffusion. This exclusive piece, available only at DWR, incorporates a custom LED ring surrounded by a shade that curves inward, reminiscent of an iris or mushroom gills. It is suspended by delicate wires, producing a gentle illumination through both reflection and diffusion. Monique Faber, Louis Poulsen's Chief Design Officer, commends the design by George Yabu and Glenn Pushelberg for prioritizing user comfort and minimizing glare. Pushelberg explains that the concept for Reframe arose from the absence of a central bulb, resulting in a design that appears weightless and enhances the environment without overpowering it.
