XXXI.studio Drops Silver Food Trailer into Almada's Street Smash Burgers

In 2025, XXXI.studio launched Street Smash Burgers in Almada, Lisbon, Portugal, aiming to create a model for rapid growth in the restaurant sector. The main kiosk has a design reminiscent of a small American food trailer, making it feel like an extraterrestrial addition to the environment. The open kitchen not only handles food preparation but also functions as a performance space, moving seamlessly from cooking to serving. The metallic finishes keep distractions at bay, allowing the food's vivid colors to shine. A prominent light box hangs above the kiosk, while the design effectively merges indoor and outdoor areas. Carlos Aragão, co-founder of XXXI.studio, noted that these elements contribute to a clear identity for the restaurant. Unlike Berlin's FlipNFry, which uses bold colors, Street Smash Burgers focuses on the food’s natural hues against a silver backdrop, pushing the idea further than Znamy się's Pluto Smash Burger in Wrocław by minimizing surrounding colors.
