XU Studio Designs Yunlang Cantina and Green Heart Food Market in Chongqing

In Chongqing, China, XU Studio, under the direction of Xu Shijin, has finalized the Yunlang Cantina and Lushang Youxuan Market, a project commissioned by Wanhua. Set to open in 2026, this development caters to the Luhu residential area, blending elements of home comfort, daily life warmth, and relaxation. The building's exterior showcases stepped eaves resembling clouds, providing outdoor seating surrounded by greenery. Enhanced airflow for diners is achieved through full-height folding doors and top-hung windows. The landscape design is credited to Dongshan Plant Atelier and Hainan Liangzuo, while structural design comes from Shanghai Qingxi. Bpi handles facade lighting, and signage is a collaboration between XU Studio and In the pot., with visual identity crafted by BRANDZHI. The client team is Wide Horizon, and the project features photography by Arch-Exist and DONG Image, utilizing materials like limestone and Tyvek.
