WWF Italia's 60-Year History Anchors 'Rivoluzione Naturale' at MAXXI with Rio Mare as Main Partner

exhibition · 2026-10-07

From 9 October to 8 November 2026, the MAXXI in Rome will present 'Rivoluzione Naturale', an exhibition commemorating the 60th anniversary of WWF Italia, organized by Promemoria Group. Established in 1966, WWF has made ecology a matter of public concern. Rio Mare serves as the Main Partner, highlighting its partnership with WWF that began in 2017, aimed at transforming the tuna supply chain. By 2024, the percentage of tuna sourced from MSC-certified fisheries increased from 50.8% to 99.7%. Currently, 45% of Rio Mare's tuna is MSC-certified, with a goal of achieving 100% by 2030. The renewed collaboration in 2025 introduced stricter standards, with 94.8% of Bolton Food's tuna complying. The exhibition is open for free visits from Tuesday to Sunday, 11:00 to 19:00.
