Wrong Door Studio Unveils Mellow Cafe, a 31-Sqm Takeaway Coffee Concept for Mulhouse, France

Mellow Cafe, a concept for a 31-sqm takeaway coffee shop in Mulhouse, France, has been created by Wrong Door Studio. The design cleverly incorporates functional areas into the structure, utilizing stainless steel for work surfaces and tailored counters, while textured metal panels add visual depth. A metal grid ceiling hangs above, housing both lighting and technical elements. The color scheme features a neutral base with soft blue highlights in the furniture and signage, complemented by translucent and reflective surfaces. Architectural lighting includes illuminated signs and glowing ceiling panels. The space also showcases suspended speakers and branded packaging. Lead architect Kseniya Popova collaborated with photographer Olga Kulichihina, and the project was submitted to designboom, edited by Christina Vergopoulou.
