Woc's Postcard Lottery for Charity merges mail art with human rights fundraising for Gaza

Flavio Rossi, known as Woc, launched Postcard Lottery for Charity – Greetings from Gaza, a limited edition of 200 postcards available online from April 13 for 10 euros each. All proceeds will be donated to Amnesty International Italy to support its human rights work. The project uses a pre-war image of Gaza City, turning each postcard into a small archive of memory and a silent denunciation of violence. Purchasers become part of a participatory artistic process, with postcards sent via ordinary mail, embracing the unpredictability of transit—stamps, marks, and delays become integral to the work. This renews mail art traditions as a tool for connecting individuals and raising awareness across borders. A lottery element offers a chance to win an original artwork, Gaza City (2025), broadening engagement with contemporary art. The initiative was presented in Turin and is promoted by Le Grand Jeu, a Parisian bookstore specializing in street art and urban culture, highlighting its international scope. The project transforms a simple object into social action, blending art, memory, and concrete solidarity.
