W Sardinia opens in Poltu Quatu with design by Meyer Davis

W Sardinia, part of Marriott Bonvoy, has recently opened its doors in the secluded village of Poltu Quatu, where it integrates seamlessly with the original architecture crafted by Jean-Claude LeSuiss in the early 2000s. Reflecting Sardinia's rise as a tourism destination since the 1960s, the hotel showcases interiors by New York's Meyer Davis, founded by Will Meyer and Gray Davis. They maintained the original architecture and pool while adding local artistry, such as a hand-sculpted piece by Luca Scassellati and ceramics by Walter Usai. The design is inspired by Sardinian folklore, featuring Janas in a mural at the W Lounge. With 157 rooms and the Tanit restaurant, which specializes in seafood by chef Fabrizio Fiorani, the hotel shifts W's image towards elegance while keeping its vibrant spirit. Nearby attractions include San Pantaleo and Surrau Winery.
