Vogue Birding Shoot in Acadia National Park Taps Ornithologist Michael Good
The Vogue team traveled to Bar Harbor, Maine, for a unique fashion shoot that combined birdwatching with style. Models Ana Beatriz Cortes, Betsy Gaghan, and Sunday Rose showcased designs from Phoebe Philo, Loewe, and Michael Kors. Ornithologist Michael Good, who leads bird tours and manages the Three Pines Bird Sanctuary, responded to their invitation through email. While in Acadia National Park, he noted sightings of various birds like geese, gulls, and herons. Sunday Rose had her first birdwatching experience and learned about the season after mating. A particularly striking moment was when Gaghan spotted a merlin. Good, who loves photographing birds, appreciated the shoot's lighting and noted the birds beginning to change into their fall colors.
