VLP's 'Karton Plein' Exhibition at Galerie Artistik Rezo

The French street art duo VLP presents 'Karton Plein', an exhibition at Galerie Artistik Rezo in Paris from September 17 to October 7, 2026. The show features 17 large-scale works painted on recycled cardboard during the pandemic, rejecting confinement and surveillance society. Cardboard, a fragile and discarded material, becomes a canvas for utopian visions, blending art history, pop culture, poetry, comics, and street art. The works include motifs like the black eagle, severed suns, Philip Guston's boot, Basquiat's crowns, Krazy Kat mice, and totemic masks from Blue King and Urban Type. Central to the exhibition is Zuman, an anonymous city-dweller and artist-prototype representing collective creation, inspired by Van Gogh's dream of art beyond individual power. The cardboard surfaces serve as ecological, social, and political commentaries, transforming waste into 'artographies' of the present. The exhibition is hosted by Galerie Artistik Rezo and promoted by Club Artistik Rezo.
