Vingt diamants de Tavernier renaissent à Lyon grâce à L'École des Arts Joailliers
From November 21 to 28, 2026, the InterContinental Lyon – Hôtel-Dieu will host the exhibition titled "From the Great Mughal to the Sun King: the Fabulous Journey of Tavernier's Diamonds." This event is organized by L'École des Arts Joailliers with support from Van Cleef & Arpels, and you'll need to make a free reservation to attend. The exhibition showcases twenty diamonds that Jean-Baptiste Tavernier brought from India and sold to Louis XIV in 1668, including the famous blue diamond. Between 2015 and 2017, experts François Farges and Patrick Dubuc researched these gems. Additionally, there will be a conference on Tavernier on November 22 from 5:30 to 6:30 PM, and the exhibition is open daily from 10 AM to 6 PM.
