Villepin opens Milan outpost in deconsecrated church with Marie de Villepin show

The Hong Kong-based art platform Villepin, founded in 2019 by Dominique de Villepin and his son Arthur de Villepin, opens its first Italian outpost on June 17, 2026, in the deconsecrated church of San Vittore e 40 Martiri in Milan's Corvetto district. The inaugural exhibition, "White Noise," features new works by Marie de Villepin (daughter of Dominique and sister of Arthur), curated by Arthur de Villepin. The show runs from June 18 to July 12, 2026. The church, built in 1928, was deconsecrated in the 1950s and later used for social services; it has recently undergone restoration. Villepin combines exhibition, advisory, and collection management, focusing on Eastern artists and the secondary market. The program will host two exhibitions per year, integrating visual arts, music, cinema, and design. Marie de Villepin's works—large canvases evoking smoke, ash, and fading forms—engage with the building's aged surfaces and memory, without restoring its sacred character.
