Villa Medici Festival Cabane 7L by salazarsequeromedina

The architectural firm salazarsequeromedina has designed Cabane 7L & Librairie 7L for the Villa Medici Festival des Cabanes, set to be completed in 2026. The project, supported by Syracuse University, references the historical gardens of Villa Medici in Rome, which under Cardinal Ferdinando de' Medici in the late 16th century were organized around the Carrés system—sixteen orthogonal compartments within a geometric plan. These gardens combined aesthetic display with economic infrastructure, cultivating vegetables, herbs, and fruit trees as symbols of political identity and territorial order.
