VII Biennale Le Latitudini dell’Arte Explores Nomadism and Technology Between France and Italy

The Museo del Mare Galata in Genoa has inaugurated the seventh Biennale Le Latitudini dell’Arte – Francia/Italia, under the curation of Virginia Monteverde. Titled “Arti – Nomadismi – Linguaggi,” this exhibition showcases a selection of ten artists from France, such as Nicolas Bertoux and Amélie Peace, alongside ten from Italy, including Antonella Cinelli and Gianni-Emilio Simonetti. It is influenced by the ideas of Gilles Deleuze, Félix Guattari, and Paul Virilio, focusing on gender fluidity and exploring concepts like nomadism, feminism, and technoscientific fundamentalism. Set in the historic dockyard of Genoa, the exhibition features significant pieces like Jean-Pierre Giovanelli’s “No milk today/Niente latte oggi” and Simonetti’s collage diptych. The biennial is ongoing at the museum.
