Víctor Solanas-Díaz 'Less is Less' at Galería Antonia Puyó

Galería Antonia Puyó in Zaragoza presents 'Less is Less', the third solo exhibition by Víctor Solanas-Díaz (Tolosa, 1977). The show reinterprets Ludwig Mies van der Rohe's 'Less is more' by proposing a terminological adjustment that restores the objective meaning of 'less'. The central work, 'Crossword', is a large-scale crossword over 300 cm high and wide, made with removable adhesive label templates that form letters and numbers, inviting visitor participation. Two other works using the same technique are the exhibition title 'Less is Less' and 'Mirror Mirror', which creates specular reflections. Two sculptural volumes in black polyurethane foam shaped like the letters Alpha and Omega (lowercase and uppercase) are placed directly on the floor, disrupting movement and prompting reflection on the alphabet and writing. A series of eight small collages titled after James McNeill Whistler's 'The Gentle Art of Making Enemies' uses painter's tape in various tones, classified and combined like a painter's palette. The exhibition runs from June 18 to August 28, 2026.
