VIB Architecture's Évreux Paramedical Training Institute Blends Healthcare Education with Sustainable Design

VIB Architecture has completed the Eure Paramedical Training Institute (IFPE) in Évreux, France, a 15,000 m² facility designed to support demanding healthcare education. The €18.5 million project integrates advanced educational and technological spaces while responding to environmental challenges and its landscape context. Curated by Hadir Al Koshta, the architecture emphasizes the human dimension through connections to living systems. Construction involved multiple specialized firms including ARTELIA Le Havre for engineering, EODD for environmental consulting, and GANTHA for acoustics. Urban planning and landscape design were handled by Philippon - Kalt Architectes, while structural work was completed by LEON GROSSE Construction of Rouen. The project features timber framing by CUILLER and timber structure by AGC, with finishes including wall treatments from REVNOR and metalwork by LOISON. Developed for the Seine-Eure Hospital Center and Évreux Porte de Normandie by client SHEMA/SPL Évreux Normandie Aménagement, the institute prioritizes spaces that accommodate intense learning rhythms and daily human relationships.
