Venice Biennale College Cinema 2025-26 Selects Four Feature Film Projects

The Venice Biennale has chosen four projects for the 14th edition of Biennale College Cinema (2025-26). The selected teams, representing China, Italy, Mexico, Spain, and the United States, will develop debut feature films. Following a scriptwriting workshop concluding on December 5, 2025, an online pre-production workshop runs from January 9 to 16, 2026. Each project will receive €200,000 from the Biennale, with the completed films to premiere at the 83rd Venice International Film Festival in 2026. Concurrently, the 10th edition of Biennale College Cinema Immersive is underway in Venice, featuring 12 selected projects in a workshop from December 2 to 9, 2025. Additionally, a previous immersive project is being presented at the Kyoto Historica International Film Festival in Japan from December 2 to 7, 2025. The initiative is supported by Italy's Ministry of Culture, Chanel, Creative Europe, and involves academic partners like Gotham Film & Media Institute.
