Veneno to Take Over MUR Oberkampf on September 12

The artist Veneno will create a new mural on the MUR Oberkampf on Saturday, September 12, covering the previous work by TENDO 9.10DO. Veneno, a member of the Belgian crew CNN199, has been practicing her art worldwide for 20 years. She spent several years in Mexico, where she honed her skills in engraving, which she later adapted to her graffiti, defining her distinctive black-and-white aesthetic. Her monumental walls blend the force of graffiti with the finesse of engraving, using strong contrasts and cross-hatching. Her works often feature masked characters and animals in a universe where hip-hop culture meets wild nature. Her art is characterized by dualities such as softness and violence, intimacy and hardness, protection and protest, reflecting the essence of her creative expression.
