Veil House by Turkel Design on Martha's Vineyard

Completed in 2025, Veil House is a single-level summer retreat located on Martha's Vineyard, USA, crafted by Turkel Design. This project, overseen by Susanna Moreira, was commissioned by a doctor and a visual artist to enhance both creative inspiration and physical wellness. Nestled within a black oak and tupelo forest on the island's northwest side, the 3,919 square-foot residence promotes a tranquil seaside atmosphere through its integration of indoor and outdoor spaces. The home's modest dimensions honor its unique coastal environment. The design team includes Joel Turkel, Jake Wright, Jeff Farrell, Dabota Wilcox, Kerry Moser, Oliver Bautista, and Jamie Fronske. LHS Carpentry served as the general contractor, with structural engineering by Webb Structural Services and landscape architecture by Crosswater Landscape.
