Vector Architects Completes Aranya Art Center Guangzhou with Community Canteen
Vector Architects has wrapped up the Aranya Art Center Guangzhou and Community Canteen, a cultural space covering 6,166 square meters, which will open in 2025. Led by Dong Gong, this project is the firm’s third endeavor that emphasizes preserving existing trees and terrain, following their work at the Liyuan Foreign Language Primary School in Shenzhen and Jingyang Camphor Court in Jingdezhen. The design cleverly incorporates the trees by creating pathways, walls, and courtyards around them. The site’s development needed extensive teamwork with various specialists, including interior design from Vector Architects and Guangzhou Pangu Decoration Design Co., Ltd., landscape design from Zhishe Landscape Planning & Design, and lighting from Handu Design Consultants and Guangzhou Majima Culture Development Co., Ltd. Construction was handled by China State Construction Eighth Bureau Co., Ltd. and others.
