Van Cleef & Arpels Unveils Egypt-Inspired High Jewelry and Daniel Brush Exhibition in Paris
During Paris Haute Couture Week, Van Cleef & Arpels launched Fascinating Egypt, a High Jewelry collection drawing on ancient Egyptian symbols, architecture, and mythology. Highlights include the Déesse ailée Mystérieuse transformable necklace with a detachable 14.05-carat pear-shaped diamond, and the Ornement de saphir necklace featuring a 6.59-carat Sri Lankan sapphire that converts into multiple lengths and bracelets. The collection uses gemstones from Colombia, Sri Lanka, Mozambique, Brazil, Madagascar, and elsewhere. Separately, L'ÉCOLE, School of Jewelry Arts presents “Daniel Brush: The Art of Line and Light,” the first major Paris exhibition of the American artist, running through October 4 at Hôtel de Mercy-Argenteau. The show spans over six decades of Brush's work in gold, steel, and rare gemstones, alongside studio notebooks and tools.
