Valeriano Boragina Designs Freestanding Beds as Architectural Islands at Hotel Trame in Rome
Valeriano Boragina Architettura e Design has finalized the main floor of a historic palazzo, spanning 760 square meters, located on Via Monterone in the Sant'Eustachio area of Rome. This space has been transformed into Hotel Trame, a boutique hotel featuring 13 rooms. The architect meticulously restored original coffered ceilings, plaster mouldings, and window frames, recreating lost features using authentic moulds before implementing the Gallotti&Radice furnishing program. Custom-designed freestanding beds serve as multifunctional islands, and each room boasts a distinct layout, with bathrooms adorned in modern materials. The project incorporates lime plasters, oak herringbone parquet, and Roman travertine. Additionally, a separate 90-square-meter area at No. 73 Corso Vittorio Emanuele II hosts Slow café, which includes a specially designed communal table and G&R's 0419 stools.
