Valentina Autiero's 45m² Olive Grove Retreat in Sorrentine Peninsula

architecture-design · 2026-07-01

Valentina Autiero, the architect behind her own studio, has finalized the renovation of La Casa Olive e Capperi, located in the Sorrentine Peninsula. Spanning 45 square meters, the project features substantial load-bearing walls and distinctive openings. Inside, there is a vaulted ceiling, a single-pitch roof, and a compact auxiliary area that includes an open-plan living and kitchen space, a double bedroom, an elevated wardrobe and study, along with a bathroom that has a storage loft. The color scheme, dominated by yellows and greens, mirrors the surrounding garden. Unique windows provide stunning views of the olive grove, sea, and mountains, while the kitchen showcases light and dark green blocks, complemented by a curved metal staircase leading to the loft, exemplifying a design that blends seamlessly with the landscape.
