VAGA Arquitetura's Tropical Brutalist Apartment in São Paulo
VAGA Arquitetura has finalized the renovation of a 66 m² apartment in São Paulo's Vila Ipojuca neighborhood, embodying the essence of belonging through its material choices, memory, and lasting qualities. This project, aimed at a Brazilian client residing in London who visits Brazil periodically, was inspired by the client's request for a 'tropical brutalist' environment. Led by architects Pedro Domingues and Pedro Faria, the team also included Giovanna Migliari, Gustavo Gomes, Isabella Jodas, and Julia Nakamura. Scheduled for completion in 2026, the renovation falls under residential architecture. Carolina Lacaz captured photographs of the space, while Susanna Moreira curated the design with contributions from Cabral Arch and various suppliers, including Reynaers Aluminium and Arte & Decoração.
