Upstairs at Hausu: A London Listening Bar Inspired by David Lynch's Red Room

architecture-design · 2026-04-11

So, a new listening bar called Hausu opened in October 2024, right above the Hausu restaurant by Peckham Rye station in London. Designed by Eva Gold, the space has this really inviting vibe with warm chocolate and cherry colors, plus wooden details and curtains that can be adjusted for a cozy feel. Gold took inspiration from cool places like the Red Room in Twin Peaks and the Velvet and Silk Café. Hausu was co-founded by Holly Middleton-Joseph, Tom Middleton-Joseph, and Christian Williams, and they’ve done it all themselves. They offer high-quality vinyl music, tasty Italian snacks, and creative cocktails, staying open until midnight at 11a Station Wy, London SE15 4RX, UK.
