UNLEASHED+ at HOTA Gold Coast Showcases Emerging Makers in Partnership with Artisan
On the Gold Coast, HOTA Home of the Arts is currently hosting UNLEASHED+, a biennial showcase for emerging creators, which will run until 8 November. This exhibition, organized in collaboration with Artisan, highlights the talents of 12 artists from the Unleashed initiative alongside five graduates from Artisan's first artists-in-residence program. Curated by HOTA, it features works from artists such as Céline Caron, Julia Bramich, Petalia Humphreys, Tom Summers, Rachel North, Gabi Harris, Rhiannon Sothern, and Jacqueline Kaytar, among others. The event aligns with significant exhibitions from the White Rabbit Collection and the National Indigenous Art Triennial, underscoring the value of partnerships for smaller institutions. Many artworks are presented in museum cases and on raised shelves.
