University of Limerick's New Student Center by Carr Cotter & Naessens to Open in 2025

Carr Cotter & Naessens designed the University of Limerick's new Student Center, a 3,500-square-meter building scheduled for completion in 2025. Located at a key campus gateway, the project aims to become a central hub for student life, offering social spaces and support services. The initiative originated from a 2015 student referendum that approved funding through a levy. Photographer Ste Muray documented the architecture, which was curated by Hadir Al Koshta. The design team, Cotter & Naessens, focused on creating a welcoming environment for both students and alumni. This development responds to the needs of the university's expanding student population.
