Universal Studios Hollywood Debuts Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift Roller Coaster
On Wednesday, Universal Studios Hollywood unveiled its latest attraction, Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift, an outdoor roller coaster inspired by the popular franchise. Riders can experience replicas of iconic muscle cars, including Dom Toretto's 1970 Dodge Charger R/T, on a track that stretches over 4,000 feet and reaches speeds of 72 mph. A similar ride is set to launch at Universal's Florida location next year. The coaster features four launches, three corkscrew inversions, and immersive sound effects from speakers mounted on the seats. The queue area showcases garage workbenches and murals reminiscent of LA. While the 11th film, Fast Forever, remains in development, Fast X premiered in 2023. Notably, Vin Diesel was absent from the ribbon-cutting event. Over the past 25 years, the franchise has generated billions.
