Un Obradoiro: A Diagonal Timber Wall as Social Infrastructure in A Coruña

In A Coruña, Spain, architecture studio Erazo Pugliese collaborated with first-year students from CESUGA School of Architecture to build 'Un Obradoiro', a diagonal timber wall that functions as furniture, shelter, and landscape frame. The six-day workshop, co-financed by XERA (Agencia Gallega de la Industria Forestal), was led by Sebastián Erazo, Stefano Pugliese, Javier Caride, and Tomás Valente. The structure integrates seating, a table, and fabric panels for shade, transforming an underused plot near the university cafeteria into an informal gathering space. This marks the fourth collaboration between Erazo Pugliese and CESUGA, emphasizing rapid design-to-build pedagogy.
