Ukurant Makes Room: Squishy Rubber Tables and Drywall Vases at 3 Days of Design

The Ukurant exhibition, titled 'Ukurant Makes Room,' is on view at 3 Days of Design in Copenhagen, running from 10 to 12 June 2026. Held in a former factory at Fabrikken (Sundholmsvej 46, 2300 Copenhagen, Denmark), the show features works by 26 emerging creatives from around the world who blend craft with functionality. Among the highlights are squishy rubber-topped side tables by Montreal-based Atelier Fomenta, drywall vases by German-Portuguese designer Cristiano Picão Pereira, droopy glass candleholders by Danish glassblower Julie Fuhlendorff, and a glossy black sun lounger shaped like a spinal column by Danish designer Lasse Sylvest Lilleør, made from ASA plastic and aluminium. Other exhibitors include Jakob Niemann with a raw branch wood stool, Anton Mikkonen with pinewood tables and a steel stool, and Tatu Laakso with a chunky oak and MDF chair and stool. Ukurant was founded in 2019 by Copenhagen designers Kamma Rosa Schytte, Josefine Krabbe, Kasper Kyster, and Lærke Ryom to help emerging designers transition from study to industry, fostering community over competition.
