UK Files First-Ever Charges Over 1994 Rwanda Genocide
On Monday, British prosecutors revealed the historic filing of charges in the UK related to the 1994 genocide in Rwanda, concluding a seven-year investigation. Vincent Brown, aged 65, has been arrested and faces one count of complicity in genocide along with six charges of assisting crimes against humanity in Rwanda, as stated by prosecutors and London police. Frank Ferguson, head of the Crown Prosecution Service's special crime and counterterrorism division, indicated that Brown is accused of inciting and directing murder and genocide perpetrated by others against the Tutsi population.
