Ugo Nespolo and Alberto Capozzi bring art into the vineyards for Cantina Pertinace's 50th Barbaresco harvest

Cantina Pertinace, a cooperative winery founded in 1973 in Treiso, Cuneo, celebrates its 50th Barbaresco harvest by commissioning artist Ugo Nespolo (Mosso, 1941) to design a celebratory wine label. The label features a vibrant, dynamic image of grape clusters, vines, and hills with the number 50. Alberto Capozzi (Padova, 1975) has installed a sculpture among the vineyard rows, and 11 photographic gigantographs by Magnum Photos member Olivia Arthur (London, 1980) will soon mark an art path for visitors. The works were presented on June 11, 2026 at the Museo Alfa Romeo in Arese. President Roberto Flori and Director Cesare Barbero emphasized the cooperative's collaborative spirit and commitment to innovation. Alba has been chosen as the Italian capital of contemporary art for 2027, and the Langhe region is preparing to welcome artists and visitors.
