Uffe Isolotto's 'Impotenza' Opens at Palazzo Monti in Brescia

Danish artist Uffe Isolotto (b. 1976) presents 'Impotenza,' a solo exhibition at Palazzo Monti in Brescia, curated by Edoardo Monti, opening June 13, 2026. Four years after representing Denmark at the 59th Venice Biennale with 'We Walked the Earth,' Isolotto shifts from immersive, highly produced installations to a more precarious, unfinished aesthetic. The show features hybrid sculptures combining silicone, wax, found objects, bronze, and marble, including a decapitated centaur carrying two human heads and a deformed youth reaching toward the ceiling with a wooden rod. Isolotto explains that the brief residency period led him to embrace uncertainty and work with remnants of previous productions, using molds transferred from his studio at Fertile in Copenhagen.
