Twitch Gift Subscriptions Explained: Tiers, Gifting Methods, and Streamer Benefits

Twitch offers gift subscriptions that enable users to buy channel subscriptions for others as one-time presents that do not renew automatically. There are three subscription levels: Tier 1 at $5.99, Tier 2 starting at $9.99, and Tier 3 beginning at $24.99, all providing benefits like ad-free viewing, custom emotes, and chat badges. To gift, users select a channel, click on Subscribe, and opt for Gift a Sub. Community gifting permits between 1 to 100 subscriptions per transaction, favoring active participants in chat. Recipients are notified, and streamers receive 50 to 70 percent of the subscription fee. Gifted subscriptions are valid for one month, with multi-month options available for Tier 1, and cannot be returned, ensuring user anonymity without a monthly cap.
