Trung Nguyen Architects Slots 4-Metre-Wide Roof House Into Ho Chi Minh City Alley
Roof House, designed by Trung Nguyen Architects, occupies a 77-square-metre site in District 7, Ho Chi Minh City, for a family of four. The residence, measuring four metres in width, prioritizes "spatial quality," ensuring that each room has access to a garden or terrace. A front garden provides a buffer from the street, and sliding glass doors link the living areas to a covered outdoor space beneath a steep terracotta-tiled roof. A translucent door leads to the main bedroom, which opens to a back garden. The narrow interiors are accentuated by high sloping ceilings and exposed tiles. The first floor contains a children's bedroom, while the second floor hosts a studio and library overlooking the front garden. Photography by Hoang Le. This project follows ODDO Architects' TH+ House and Tato Architects' skylit House and Studio.
