Tribeca's Fall Art Season: Five Must-See Shows in Lower Manhattan

This September, Tribeca is hosting a variety of notable exhibitions that shine a light on new artists and storytelling art. Giuseppe Francalanza, just 26, is presenting his first solo show in the US at Chapter NY titled "All of My Angels Wear a Rag: I The Tuner," featuring ethereal paintings influenced by music and evoking the High Renaissance, alongside sculptures that look like air conditioners. At Journal Gallery, Mia Goldstein's "Handle With Care" showcases lifelike scenes of art logistics, including a Magritte in an SUV. Carroll Dunham's vibrant figures and the impressive 12-foot piece "Finished" (2019–25) are on display at Matthew Brown Gallery. Christine Safa's "Noces" at Bortolami features tranquil paintings in soothing colors. Additionally, apexart’s exhibition explores the funerary weaving traditions of the N’g An people from Vietnam. Most shows run through October, with Goldstein ending on the 3rd, Francalanza on the 17th, and the rest on the 24th. Tribeca is definitely the place to be this fall!
