Trenchs Studio designs low-impact glamping retreat among pines in Cádiz, Spain

architecture-design · 2026-06-26

In the dehesa of Cádiz, southern Spain, Trenchs Studio has crafted a glamping retreat for WeCamp, nestled among the pines. Collaborating with TEMATIC Arquitectura and landscape designer Valentina Greselin, the Barcelona-based studio served as the concept's overseer. The retreat showcases light timber constructions and earthy hues, with a pool deck interwoven through the trees, harmonizing with the Andalusian forest. Emphasizing simplicity over extravagance, the design maintains a low density of tents. Communal spaces, including the reception, restaurant, and pool area, are designed as open, semi-outdoor structures that blend seamlessly with the pines. The pool features interconnected basins on a large deck, while the tents incorporate birch plywood panels arranged in a Mondrian-like fashion, reflecting WeCamp's focus on quality camping experiences.
