Traveling exhibition 'Petites histoires, Grand Est' marks region's 10th anniversary

In September 2026, the 'Petites histoires, Grand Est' exhibition will commence a tour across the ten departments of the Grand Est region, marking its 10th anniversary. Organized by Image’Est in collaboration with the Cinémathèques du Grand Est, the event showcases more than 1.2 million photographs and 20,000 films sourced from private collections. It features amateur films, photographs, personal accounts, and modern interpretations by local artists. Writer Hélène Gestern has provided texts, while artists Loïc Gallet and Valéry Pelletier have produced short films. Original works were also created by students from four regional art schools. The exhibition's modular design, crafted by Morgan Fortems, consists of three sections. The tour kicks off at Médiathèque Jean Falala in Reims, running from September 5, 2026, to January 3, 2027. The Grand Est region was established on March 14, 2016.
