Top 5 Art Exhibitions in Central London for June 2026

Tabish Khan, known as @LondonArtCritic, curates a selection of five must-see exhibitions in Central London this June. At October Gallery, Sokari Douglas Camp's 'Fashion & Fortune' features steel figures under a giant metal palm tree, addressing slavery, colonialism, and the exploitation of wealth, with coins highlighting traders' gains; the show also critiques dress codes imposed on black women, influencing Western fashion, running until 27th June. Kat Lyons' 'The Familiars' at Pilar Corrias on Savile Row examines human-animal relationships through paintings of elephants, cows, and donkeys used as beasts of burden, including electrical experiments on frogs and the valuation of donkeys over zebras, until 20th June. Isabelle Young's 'Venice As I Was' at Canopy Collections offers a quiet counterpoint to the Venice Biennale, focusing on empty corners, light on terrazzo floors, and reflections, until 3rd July. Demi Danka's 'Co-Authored Terrains' at Gillian Jason Gallery uses light-sensitive photographic paper exposed to chemicals and salts, creating abstract compositions where the artist relinquishes control, until 27th June.
