Tommaso Arnaldi and Francesca Pionati Present "HARD ASSETS" at Fondazione Pini, Milan

exhibition · 2026-10-22

Francesca Pionati and Tommaso Arnaldi, the winners of the second PINI ART PRIZE, have transformed Milan's Fondazione Pini with reflective partitions, wrought-iron exercise bikes, and AI-crafted luxury shelters. Guests enter through a dimly lit passage with mirrored walls that distort perception. Sculptures made from repurposed gate materials are subtly integrated into the space. The entrance is redefined as a mechanism for an individual in a room devoid of windows. The exhibition’s title contrasts physical items with stock-market fluctuations, inspired by Paul Virilio's Bunker archéologie (1975). In the subsequent room, five pieces from (Virtual Tours) BY APPOINTMENT ONLY (2026) showcase AI-designed luxury bunkers, including THAT'S ALL, FOLKS! (2026), which presents a bunker as a dollhouse, and PROSTHETICS FOR YOUR HOUSE (2026), featuring designs from the residences of Craxi, Andreotti, and Berlusconi.
